E-Way Bill Login on Mobile
Open ewaybillgst.gov.in in your phone's browser and log in with your username, password, captcha and OTP, just as on a computer. If the OTP comes through the Sandes or NIC-GST-Shield app on the same phone, switch to the app, note the code, and return to the browser.

Can you use the E-Way Bill portal on a phone?
Yes. The official portal opens in modern mobile browsers such as Chrome, Safari, Edge and Firefox. Some screens, especially long forms and reports, are designed for larger displays, so a tablet or desktop view can be easier for heavy work. For quick tasks like printing an e-way bill or updating vehicle details, a phone is often enough.
Steps to log in on mobile
- Open your browser and type the address
Enter ewaybillgst.gov.in in the address bar. Avoid tapping on search ads, which may lead to unofficial pages.
- Tap Login
If the menu is hidden, look for the menu icon or zoom out slightly.
- Enter username, password and captcha
Turn your phone sideways if the captcha or fields look cramped.
- Enter the OTP
Read the SMS, or open the Sandes or NIC-GST-Shield app, note the code, and switch back to the browser before it expires.
- Add a bookmark
Bookmark the official page so you can open it directly next time.
Using the OTP on the same phone
- SMS: many phones offer to copy the code from the notification. You can then paste it into the OTP field.
- Sandes: open the app, read the latest message from the portal, then return to the browser using the app switcher. The login page stays open.
- NIC-GST-Shield: codes change every 30 seconds. Switch apps quickly and enter the code currently shown.

Is there an official E-Way Bill app?
The E-Way Bill system's registration menu has options to register for SMS-based and Android app-based e-way bill facilities. These are linked to your account and must be enabled by the registered user first. Details are in the official user manual.
We don't link to any app store listing because we couldn't independently confirm a current official listing. Be cautious with apps from unknown publishers that ask for your E-Way Bill username and password, because they could misuse your account. Your safest option on mobile is the official website in your browser.
Tips for a smoother mobile experience
- Use “Desktop site” in your browser menu if a page's layout is hard to use.
- Use landscape mode for wide tables and reports.
- Close other tabs if the portal page reloads and loses your form data.
- Use a reliable connection when submitting forms, to avoid duplicate submissions.
Printing or saving an e-way bill PDF on mobile
Open the e-way bill on the portal, then use your browser's Share → Print (Android: menu → Share → Print) and choose Save as PDF. You can then share the PDF with the driver. For the public print option that doesn't need a login, see print e-way bill without login.
