What is E-Way Bill 2.0?

E-Way Bill 2.0 is a parallel portal run by NIC. It isn't a replacement for the main portal. Both systems share e-way bill data, so an e-way bill generated on one can be viewed and updated on the other.

Why it was launched

Goods movement can't stop when a website goes down. A second, independent portal gives businesses and transporters a way to continue critical work, such as updating vehicle details or extending validity, if the main portal faces downtime.

How to log in to E-Way Bill 2.0

  1. Open ewaybill2.gst.gov.in

Type the address yourself or use the button on this page.

  2. Enter your E-Way Bill username, password and captcha

Use the same credentials you use on the main portal.

  3. Complete the OTP step

    Two-factor authentication applies here too.

If your login works on the main portal but not on 2.0 (or the other way round), wait a while and try again, and check the portal's announcements. See E-Way Bill login not working for general fixes.
